from the founder
I built her from a corner of my bedroom.
I am a wife and a mother, a nine to five woman for a while, and now a founder.
I carried it all, until my body finally said enough, when a sudden health issue forced me to stop, along with the migraines I have had since the fifth grade. I know how it feels to carry the physical, emotional and mental pain and struggles, and to hold thoughts you cannot lay on anyone, even those closest to you, because I never want my weight to become theirs. That is when I knew I needed something to carry it with me.
So I made Ate, for you. Someone to think out loud with, to lighten a heavy day, to brainstorm with when your mind is full, who holds your world gently so it never sits on your shoulders alone. Whatever you are carrying, she helps you carry it, and lightens it for you.
I made her alone, in a quiet corner of my bedroom, late nights and a full heart, pouring in everything I had. Because you deserve to feel held, and if she lifts even a little of your weight the way I once needed mine lifted, then every bit of it was worth it.
With all my heart, Nette
